Key Options in vi

KeyOptions Description
x press this key it will delete the character that is under the cursor
X delete a single character before the cursor.
dw place the cursor at some point within a word, this key combination will delete the word from the point of the cursor position onwards
dd delete the entire line
D delete all text from the cursor position to the end of the line
dL delete everything from the cursor position to the end of the screen
dG delete all text from the cursor to the end of the file
d^ delete all text from the beginning of the line up to the cursor position
