Screen Resolution

The Ubuntu resolution and display options can be changed by first opening the Display Preferences window. click System --- Preferences --- Display.

With the Display Preferences window you will se options for mirroring screens, detecting monitors, refresh rate, resolution, rotation, and to show the panel icon.

If you choose to display the panel icon you can click on it from the Ubuntu desktop and see information (if available) and a shortcut back to the display settings.
